    Hi there

Hi, I am using an aged tf101 which is running katkiss marshmallow 6.0.1.
I have issues with it and am still a bit new to this as I only rooted to 4.4.4 early last year. I have a few issues with it that I am hoping to iron out and the only reason I am still using it is the physical keyboard, only 60% of the keys work, and I can't afford anything else ( being a lumberjack does not pay that well ).
I know you have to search the forum before asking questions but a few pointers as to what to search for would be good.

    Welcome to the forum

Nothing to suggest, I'm afraid. To be honest, as your tf101 starts to fail, it isn't likely to be DIY fixable or even affordable to fix. The tech is 5 years old now - which is positively Jurassic in tech terms.

Sell it on and replace it - or just buy a Bluetooth keyboard - I don't know of a great many "lumberjacks" in West Devon, either... tree surgeons, yes, but "lumberjacks"

    Moved to tf101 development.

Been cutting timber on all 3 moors, dart, exe and Bodmin for 20 years now, cut down all the trees for your fancy new mine at plump ton too. I don't claim to be great, just very effective.
It's not the hardware that's at fault, yes the keyboard is a pain, it's the super slow performance that is making it hard work. Using the tf101 to search this forum requires supreme patience, I think this maybe to do with possibly not flashing the rom correctly. I never had these issues on 4.4.4.
I don't have access to a pc and unlike tree surgeons I am not blessed with the sort of brain that finds it easy to understand how to sort out the issues. That is what I want to get from this forum, I like 6.0.1 I just want it to run faster than a lethargic snail. Searching this forum for the answer is going to take an age.
    Thanks for the cheery welcome!

Well I live & learn I didn't know we had lumberjacks in my part of the world...

Without access to a PC you are out of luck completely...
If you can get access to one, then this thread... need suggestions for rehabilitating my TF101 should help.

Also this thread - but largely the newer posts at the end. From #382 onwards... Frederuco's Guide to Root and ROM the TF101

Thanks, if I can borrow a laptop I will look into these. Right now in the short term I am going to flash timduru latest version but this time enable md5 rendering, I think.
