    Welcome to the forum!

Benefits that will be acquired: MUCH MUCH faster due to Project Butter. It really does make a difference. Also, most of the Jelly Bean ROMs have the option to use a Tablet UI, or a Phablet UI. Tablet has the nav bar/clock/notifications on the bottom. The Phablet has the nav bar (soft keys) on the bottom and the notifications and clock are on top that you swipe down.

As far as turning back, you can always go back. You can use EasyFlasher to flash back to 100% stock, or you can just flash the stock ROM in custom recovery to get back to stock. I have a stock rooted backup that I flash back to from time to time to test something out. Usually within about 1 hour I want to gouge my eyes out because it is so much slower.

Since there is not much chance of a new firmware from Asus, here is what I would recommend:
1 - backup your apps and data to a microSD card using the included AppBackup app. We should not need this, but it is a just in case.
2 - Follow this guide to install TWRP (use TWRP 2.3.2.3 or later): http://www.transformerforums.com/for...rom-tf101.html
3 - Backup your stock ROM in TWRP using the Backup button
4 - Root by installing a zip file of SuperUser in TWRP
5 - Use Titanium Backup to backup your apps and such (so you can restore to a custom ROM)
6 - Back in TWRP, wipe the cache, davlik cache, system and data partitions.
7 - Install a JB ROM (and associated GAPPS and kernel if required)
8 - Restore apps using Titanium Backup

Test it out for a bit.

If you don't like it, you can just go back to TWRP and restore your stock ROM. The only thing non-stock is that TWRP will still be installed. The only draw back is that you cannot get OTA updates. But, since it has been over a year, I doubt this will be an issue.

Frederuco has not taken part in this forum for a couple of years.

Ancient thread by forum standards.... check out this link -- Lolipop is available via a custom ROM. (Marshmallow might be...)

    KatKiss 5.0.2 Lollipop?
