Asus Transformer TF101 - Clockwork Recovery Issue

About a year or so ago I installed Prime (HTJ85B.prime_epad-1.7-20110804) and Kernel (2.6.36-3-g32125f7-dirtyclmesyn@clemsyn-MM061 #92).

I haven't really used my Transformer that much, but now I'm wanting to use it more and trying to fix an issue I have with it.

Everytime I power it on, I have to do the Power + Vol Down step and then press Volume Up for it to load to Android, but if I simply press Power then it gets stuck at the splash screen and never moves. I've tried rebooting into Recovery from Rom Manager and from holding down Power when the device is on and hitting recovery, but it just reboots and gets stuck on the splash screen.

Wanting to get an updated Rom and all installed, but I cannot figure out how to get to Recovery in order to install it.

Can anyone help with this issue, please?

If you are rooted (which you should be on the Prime ROM) download GooManager, grant root permissions and then tap the menu button in the top right.

Choose the Install RecoveryScript and it will install the latest TWRP.

Then boot to recovery (VOL DOWN and POWER for 12-15 seconds, VOL UP whilst the white text is on the screen).

Flash your new ROM via microSD.

When I attempt to download/install the Install RecoveryScript, Goo Manager force closes. I downloaded the ROM I wanted and all, but I can't get Install RecoveryScript to install correctly.

Ok, I have 2 other suggestions to try.

    You can try PERI: http://www.transformerforums.com/for...-firmware.html

That one should get a working recovery installed.

If that does not work, you can use ADB to push TWRP. See all the gory details in this thread: http://www.transformerforums.com/for...seem-work.html

And get rid of ROM Manager. It doesn't play well at all with the TF101 and has a lot of issues that will give you bootloops and such.
