So what if APX mode doesn't work? Got my tf101 connected, but i held power and vol up for a full minute, got nothing. I've tried a whole bunch of root methods but none worked, because my computer can't detect the tablet. Linux, Windows, and the adb usb daemon on both OS's all fail at detecting it. Any solution for me? I'm running all over the internet looking for a solution.

Can you boot the tablet normally and have it detected with USB debugging enabled?

Also, are you sure your USB cable is working? It is possible the cable may charge but one of the data pins is not working.

I have a quick question in regards to this:
First option: Stock Rooted with custom recovery
This one is pretty simple. Copy the Superuser-3.1.3-arm-signed.zip file from the tools directory to a microSD card. Boot to recovery, go to Install, go to the External storage and select the SuperUser file. Swipe to flash, then reboot.

Where is the file you speak of? Does it get put into a tools directory on the tablet? I didn't see any link to download that file.
    *EDIT*
Nevermind...i saw that the root process places the superuser file on the sdcard. I used this guide here as a basis, rooting with the one-click root method: http://forums.androidcentral.com/asu...ml#post2538225. SIDE NOTE: SuperSU is a nice, faster replacement for SuperUser. I have that on my Samsung GS3. SuperUser on some things, tends to take too long to respond. Once I'm on the JB rom on the Asus, I'll probably use it.

That process was pretty slick, working through that One-Click batch file. I just rooted and am backing up my data and settings with Titanium Backup now. I'll install the TWRP next, and then, a new rom.

The file is in the easyflasher directory. When you unzip it, there are some folders in the EasyFlasher (asusupdate, temp and tools). Look in the tools directory for the SuperUser-3.1.3-arm-signed.zip.

Place this file ANYWHERE on your tablet that your recovery can see. TWRP can see internel and external, Rogue Recovery can only see internal memory. It does not matter which directory you put it in, just browse to it in recovery and then flash the file.

So I noticed 2 things. First, Dual Battery Widget doesnt show up in the notifications until i acutally open the app. It used to always just pop up when I put the tablet on the dock, or booted up the tablet when it was docked. Also, Ive been using autoairplane mode by DON and that also doesnt seem to work anymore. My wifi would shut off even turning the screen off for a brief second like the app is supposed to do. Now when the app is running, the wifi just stays on when i turn off the screen. Anyone else have these problems or have suggestions? Figured id post this instead of bugging Frederuco more lol.

    So much for bugging me....

If you have Dual Battery Widget added to the home screen, it should populate when you dock.

If you are running the TeamEOS 4, no need for AAM by DON IMO. Set your WiFi to turn off when the screen is off, then go to the EOS Settings. Tap the Interface at the top right and select System. Scroll to the bottom and change the screen timeout to 15 seconds. From the time you turn off your screen, it is forced off after 15 seconds (or whatever timeout you choose).

Not sure which version you are running. The latest official Nightly is 93 from GooManager.

TimDuru has a Preview version B145 (preview of 94) that you can get. IMO, it is faster (compiled differently). It also has dock battery support in the statusbar in the top right:

    Preview B145: http://downloads.timduru.org/android...reviewB145.zip

Then flash this dock battery patch via recovery after flashing the ROM: http://downloads.timduru.org/android...kBatteryV3.zip

Any time you flash the ROM again, be sure to wipe cache, davlik and system. Then flash the ROM, GAPPS, kernel and any patches. So long as you flash the ROM first, the others don't matter which order you flash.

Haha you didn't HAVE to answer but man am I glad you did. Once again, greatly appreciate it. I was running 93. Ill definitely be checking that all out tomorrow. Looks like I won't end up needing either of the 2 apps.

PS - After this I should be done tinkering for a while lol. Redownloading the apps is becoming tedious and a pain in the ass. That's mainly because I've been an idiot and keep factory resetting lol

Well, I finally got round to trying this, but fell at the rooting bit.

TWRP is not seeing any files or folders on the Micro SD card.

ES file explorer sees both cards that I have tried.

    Tried mounting and unmounting.....Nada.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    Thanks

What is the format of your microSD card?

TWRP 2.3.2.3 only sees FAT32. The newest version (which has not been ported to TF101 yet) 2.4.0.0 has exFAT support.
