JellyBean or ICS
Hi all,
Have been trialling 3 Jellybean Roms and these are my findings, you may remember I ran a daily type diary when on ICS
This time I will just give you my thoughts and findings,
Firstly RaymanFX is very clever with his Roms and are the best in my view.
EOS 3 Nightly, great Rom fast and smooth but still too many bugs UK keyboard not working although easy to sort out and Bluetooth Audio which again you can get to work by swappng a conf file, but its the freezing of screen, tries many Kernals but not right.
CyanomongenMod 10 v6 again I like this but as above its not there yet but very close , liked very much looks good too.
Liquidsmooth my favourite out the lot smooth, beautiful to look at and loads of features but again gerky after a while due to memory filling up tends to freeze when memory went down to 120mb, then freezes.
Best Kernals I used were Perseus alpha 24 and Siyah
My conclusion is they are waiting for 4.2 .
Any way for now back to Revolution, new update to 3.6 runs fantasticly ,using Testmeh Kernal as before o/c 1.4 and its as smooth and fast as jellybean , also installed GPU fix and its ACE
what have your experiences been with both Jellybean and ICS ?

You missed paranoid android
You really should try itout, other than RaymanFX AOSP ROM it is the only other one i have liked, very smooth, stable and some really great customizations. It has RaymanFX harmony kernel which very stable up to a 1600 overclock for me.

Liquidsmooth Rom and Elite Kernal
As RaymanFX had this new Kernal I thought I would re-try LiquidSmooth Rom.
Installed easy again no problems then flashed new Elite Kernal, all ran well for awhile then back to lagging screen and freezing,
it looks like its all down to the Rom itself, as they are just variations of themselves then this must be the reason they all have the problem
If it gets sorted it would make a great JB system for the TF
I did not try Paranoidandroid Rom after reading the first 10 pages and pages 30 - 40 it didn't inspire me to try'
Anyone else tried JB and been totally happy.
I am not worried about uk keyboard on dock as i can fix that same for bluetooth audio

Hi All,
Trying LiquidSmooth again so full wipe installed RC-7 booted got WiFi working then booted back to recovery installed Gapps and new Kernal Tims Kat Kernal 55d and 56d in that order 56d is Lid fix on dock.
Rebooted signed in installed Titanium and restored all my apps and data but no system ones.
Adjusted keyboard files so I can have UK on dock, rebooted all working then changed Audio conf file so Bluetooth Audio works and its running very smooth.
If you want to try it is straight forward just remember backup before you start.

What was it about Paranoid that made you not want to try it? In my opinion it is one of the better ones out there.

The first 10 pages read as though he was just using items from Roms that had problems , and several posts reported problems. I am sure others are all trying to get their Roms working well as quickly as possible, but as someone who keeps trying different Roms with different Kernals it is easier to note improvements if you narrow your test field, if I end up with no improvement or going backwards then I drop one and select another to try.
Have you tried many with different Kernals or do you use stock only ?

I have tried Liquid Smooth, Paranoid, AOSP and EOS with harmony kernel, the kernel that came with the ROM and Guevors kernel when still on ICS. Paranoid with it's stock kernel was the best one for me (I actually preferred AOSP, but missed a couple of things that are offered by paranoid/CM)

WOW think this is it
Hi all,
Watching Amy Macdonald with band + Orchestra in HD while typing this in a window and wearing Bluetooth earphones and there is no delay, this is the first time I have had this, absolutely excellent.
So recommend you try , even before sleep check, Fantastic.
If this stays as it is it will be perfect, o/c to 1400 running well .
Very pleased
