[SOLVED] Rooted - Update 9.2.1.24 failure

    Hello everyone.

Like most of you, i received a notification of an update for the TF101 (9.2.1.24)

So i used Ota root Keeper before the update install, in order to keep my root.

However, when the tablet reboots and starts the update, the TF101 is stuck at this point :

I must do either a cold reboot (Vol. Down+Power) or a reboot to go back to the main menu of the tablet.

To make short : i can't apply the update.

    I'm on 9.2.1.21 version
On this version, i installed the root thanks to Wolf's Method 3
Does this method make data corruption which fails the update?
Method 3 add a new recovery called : Rogue XM Recovery v1.3.0 (CWM-based Recovery v5.0.2.7)
    Perhaps that's the cause...

So i decided to update manually with this thread
I've taken the ww-9.2.1.21-to-9.2.1.24-CWM-nokernel-v1.0.zip file, put it in my SD card, and i'd like to install it through the recovery, am i right?

    Thanks for your answsers

    Welcome to the forum Corrigo!

You have found out what to do, use that file from XDA to update. Restore root with OTA Rootkeeper and you will be running the latest and greatest.

I've just successfully upgraded from 9.2.1.21 to 9.2.1.24 using CWM and the proper OTA file from [UPDATED]OTA 9.2.1.24 US/WW/TW - CWM zip (also custom kernels) - xda-developers
I couldnt root 9.2.1.21 so I decided going for this option. The FW adds a Lock Tool (a dot) in the middle of the tool bar that allows you to lock/unloock the screen to prevent pressing home icon accidentally when playing games (happened to me many times).
Hope this upgrade stops all those reboots I've been suffering since I moved from HC to ICS. Lets see....

This is the kind of thread I especially enjoy.

Someone has an issue or challenge....others add sugestions and information....issue gets resolved.

    It doesn't get much better.

coorigo - now you can enjoy your update and tablet!

Glad this story has a happy ending, but as it discusses rooting & custom solutions I've moved the thread to tf101 development.
