    ROOT method for ICS [TF101]

    Hello people, [for advanced users]

Here's a simple method for rooting your device from newly ICS update. Please head at xda link below for further instructions/insights depending on your situation if u having problems getting it through. As for me, it worked like a charm but after several attempts, but it works. I used the Windows version. Give some love for the dev via praise or donation. I think he deserves it as this is for the benefit of the whole community. Cheers (oh the allow button in superuser is now on the right if ur on the latest vesion, I got fooled first but then I saw that I denied the apps then put them back in the allow section, enjoy)

    Rooting Method
    [ROOT] TF101 ICS from OTA - xda-developers

Restore CWM with this lightweight utility (I used Gnufabio) [EDIT]
    http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=218

To reboot direct to CWM [EDIT]

    Peace...

Awesome rooting application! so bloody simple to use, just make sure you install the ASUS Sync on your PC first! The chap who created this application has not got any donations yet, i will be donating to him once my PayPal account is setup (7 days).

Pay respect where is it due.....

    Cheers,
    Michael

I followed all steps (including app backup twice). On my updated to ICS TF101.

After I finished and the message said that my device was rooted I installed Superuser from the market and closed the rootscreen.

After that I tried adb remount, but I get the message "this operation is not permitted".

    Did I forget something?

I'd like to donate when it works.

    -Edit-
Never mind. I tried Brk.root.toolkit v7.1 which I used for honeycomb and that worked.

My TF101 was already rooted when I did my update, so I already had SU and other root apps installed when I saw the XDA thread. The Windows version worked perfectly for me, and it even saw my existing SU installation and essentially picked up where I left off.

This method does not work for me. I folllowed it exactly using both the windows and the linux versions.

    Anyone have some clues?

Mine does not reboot when the instructions say it should reboot....
