    Question /sdcard vs. /Removable/MicroSD

So when I first got my TF and logged in with my Google account, of course my apps from Market were installed. I didn't have an sdcard in at the time, but for some reason I automatically had a /sdcard folder in file manager with folders in it such as download, xscope, titaniumbackup, etc. just like on my Droid X with sdcard, even though my TF had no sdcard...

So now that I have an sdcard in the TF, the files on it are found not in /sdcard, but in /Removable/MicroSD.

I'm dying to root, but I'm wondering if the card being read under something other than /sdcard will mess up the process.. like when you need to flash a file on the root of the sdcard, will it work if its in the /Removable/MicroSD folder?

I'm hoping somebody has had the same problem and can help a brother out. I can't just rename the folders in case anybody suggests that..

Btw, I'm in love with this tablet, glad to be a part of this (as of now) small community, and thanks in advance for any help!

Welcome to the forum. The SDcard that you see is actually the root directory kinda like drive C on a PC. When you added a micro SD card it shows up under the removeable/micro SDcard and if you have the dock and plug in an additional SD card then under removeable you will see 2 drives and if you stick in a USB 3 drives will be listed under removeable.

I can't answer your rooting questions but I hope I have helped with the difference between the cards.

Any files you need to flash via CWM need to go on the "Removeable" sd card.

It appears that when you delete an app that the Android system attempts to get every piece that goes with that app.
