HELP : USB Mains charger problem

I have lost my original Transformer USB mains power supply already and can't seem to charge it with ANY other USB mains charger. I understand that it won't charge from the PC USB and am not suprised that it doesn't charge with a low powered USB mains charger just like the iPad, but it won't even charge with a proper high power USB iPod mains charger.

I am a bit stuck now as Asus are not supporting this product in any meaningful way and I can't seem to get a replacement USB mains charger anywhere, UK, US, Asia ..

I now have a shiny TF101 and dock with two flat batteries sitting in a pretty useless state collecting dust simply because I can't charge it!

    Any suggestions, HELP!!

That really sucks. I tried my wife's ipad2 charger but it doesn't work. The ipad2 charger is listed as 5.1V output while the T'Former's is listed as 5-15V output. The only thing I can suggest is going to Best Buy, Fry's, Tiger Direct, Radio Shack, or the similar, and tell them you're looking for a USB wall wart with a 15V output at 2 Amps.

Since the wall wart for T'Former says 5-15V, I'd be hesitant to try 15V myself as it might damage my device, but if you cannot find anything else that works...

It may be the pinouts rather than the voltage that's the issue. The TF will only charge properly on a USB 3 cable, so it's probably a "USB 3 powered B" socket on the charger.

No, it was definitely a type A socket but I think you're right, it must be USB 3.0. I've been looking into this today and noted that Asus have been pushing USB 3.0 SuperSpeed on their latest motherboards. I guess that makes sense and it probably is a USB 3.0 mains charger that's needed!
