USB to Ethernet adapter

I was looking for more information on using USB ethernet adapters in honeycomb to see if anybody else has had luck and stumbled onto this post on a Xoom msg board. Does anybody know if this would be true and apply to our transformers?

Seriously, the iPad? At least its VPN feature actually works well with Cisco-secured corporate wifi networks.

P.S. Come on, I can't believe the lack of will to figure this out Google and Cisco.

Anyone have any updates to this ? where to get drivers ....etc. or what USB to ethernet works

I tried a USB to ethernet adaptor with the Realtek RTL8150L chip (a really old and cheap adaptor with a USB 1.1 interface, 12 Mbps max, sucks for file transfer, but useful as a secure internet connection). Works OK in a Windows 7 netbook with Vista drivers (for testing, I didn't know if it was working anymore), but no connection in the Transformer. Maybe needs root or the chip is not supported... Needs more testing...

Yes, just tried a new Trendnet TU2-ET100... Same results.

At least needs a specific driver for Android/Transformer.

Possibly other issues going through the keyboard dock.

Oh well, we'll use this for other computers.

Best way to find out is to buy it and see. Since it says in the description that it works with Android 3.2, you should be able to return it if it does not.
