Watching Movies etc/ head phones? earbuds?

I hope I'm not asking too many questions here! Took my TF101 while hubby had a dr appt, and thought, "I could be watching a movie!" But I had nothing to listen with!

I've seen people watching movies with ear buds; at the gym I use the kind of headphones that go around the back of my neck and I really like them. I'm concerned that I might damage my hearing with ear buds.

Anybody have any thoughts on this? I do have Bose headphones, but they're kinda bulky to carry around and go over the top of my head. Good at shutting out other sounds, though.

Buy ear buds. Insert into ears. Keep the volume at a reasonable level. Unless you are listening to rock and roll, then turn it up.

I bought a pair of 'on ear' headphones. They don't fully cover your ears but sit on top of them. Very comfortable, great sound and fold up to make carrying them easier. Buds never stay in my hairy ears lol.

OR blue toooth stero head set, no wires to get tangled. If you do some searching you can get a good price. I have the Altec Lansing backbeat. They also work with my phone. So one device multiple uses.
They will be a bit more pricey than ear buds, just another idea for you.

Thanks everyone... I especially was intrigued by the hairy ears and rock and roll parts.

    Will check out Bluetooth ones.

I carry various headsets for different situations.

My Klipsch headphones deliver the best sound but are wired.

My Motorola S10-HD bluetooth headset is wireless and sounds pretty good but is a little lacking when it comes to bass; they do a good job of blocking out noise.

My Sony earbuds sound really good and do a good job of blocking out noise, but are wired.

My Bose earbuds sound good and also allow ambient sounds in for when I need to hear outside stuff like traffic.

The point being, choose depending upon your needs.

And yeah, my backpack is a little cramped LOL.

Does anyone know if Bluetooth headset for phones differ in the way they connect to the TF tablets? I have a Plantronics that work fine with my HTC phone, both ear phone, Mic and remote control functions. None of these functions work with the TF 101 ICS 4.03 20120312 edition.

These are the only BT head set that I've found that plays without an audio lag on my TF Prime.

If you feel like buying the Bose ear buds I highly recommend them or at least going to a store and listening to them before passing them up. I wouldn't be too worried about hearing lose with most ear buds. Many of the newer designs, such as the Bose ear buds, keep the speaker from blasting out your ear drums. That and many electronics don't turn up as loud as they use too.
