I have a new one also. It started behaving exactly the same way with the battery. Do you mean to say the camera light is on all the time after complete shutdown? I haven't seen that. I have been using mine for a couple weeks, no sweat, and then yesterday I could not start it up until it had been on charge for an hour and now it is not charging past 61%.

How can I find out what BIOS I currently have installed?

to find out what Bios you have tap the F2 key when booting.

also discovered something today, charged my T100 with the Dock unconnected...went from 13% to a full charge in under 2 hrs..i have also noticed the cam light coming on during shutdown.

    my Bios is 214

My battery indicator doesn't go down at all.... atm it is stuck at 81%. It resets when it shuts down from low battery, but after i charge it the meter stays the same.

Surely the thing to do i shut the tablet down overnight and restart in the morning. Send to sleep during the day!!

I do this and have had no problems with battery drain.

i started having this problem tonight. If i shut it down, the webcam light comes on and wont go off. I let it set for 15 minutes and it was still on. If i hold the power button down then it will shut off. Anyone have any new information on this?

Mine drained overnight after being shut down, both docked and undocked. My solution is to shut it down undocked, watch for the webcam light to come on, then press the power switch for 2 secs which puts the light out and voila.....no power drain.
Works for me...don't ask me why shut down doesn't seem to actually mean what it says.
Hope it helps and haven't tried it docked..

Today, after a Windows Update, I noticed that the camera light would flash on momentarily before the computer shut down - this was not happening before. At one time, the computer was "asleep" & on waking it, the camera came on and I had difficulty turning it off. Since I've had it (about 3 or 4 days), I've run into quite a few driver problems and had gone back to an "original software" restore, allowed the computer to install the first set of updates at the end of the setup phase and after the restart, I created an image, and proceeded with updates until I ran into more update problems. Then I'd install the image and would re-do things just to the point where the problems occurred and create an image at this point. I have my windows update set for manual intervention - nothing automatic, so I can see and authorize the updates. I've allowed the Windows updates to take place, but not the driver updates and since the latest BIOS (216) appears to be "flaky" also, I certainly didn't want to try that. If I end up with the "camera on" issue, I'll have to review what I authorized for update this time and remove it by going back to my latest good image and working forward. A bit more oversight in the ASUS software quality control departments might be helpful.

I got my Asus T100 a few days ago. I have set the power options to "sleep" when I (1) close the lid, (2) press the power button, & (3) press the sleep button. The battery drained very fast when docked with the keyboard & after I closed the lid.....
From my observation (by peeping into the gap between the T100 & the keyboard dock), the T100 goes to "sleep" for a few seconds right after closing the lid....but somehow, the LED screen turns itself on again (quite immediately) even tho the lid remained closed. If anyone have the solution, I would sure like to hear it. Thanks.
