Blank screen - HDMI works.. Help!

I am very very happy with my Transformer..

but.. The other day I wandered over to my TF and turned it on. The backlight lite up, but no ASUS logo or logon screen was displayed.
I shut plugged it in to my TV with the HDMI cable and the picture came up fine on the TV - still no image on the tablet though. The touchscreen works fine and I can (guess where the icons are on the screen) and logon and use the tablet..

Why doesn't my tablet show anything??

I have tried letting the TF drain the battery (which took days mind you) and power it up again - there fault was still there.

Does anyone have any ideas that can help.. I really miss my TF..

1. try a hard reset
2. if it did not work, a factory reset.

I have done a factory reset (from the HDMI screen - same result). When I boot it up, nothing but backlight and when I plug it into the HDMI cable I see the Adnroid setup screen. I did the reset from the the settings.. Privacy.. etc menu item.

Is there another way I should have done it ? Any other ideas?

Hello Steve. If the reset process didn't help I would either exchange it with your retailer or do a RMA with Asus repair
