Can't connect to Sprint Novatel MiFi 4082 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot

I purchased a Transformer 2 days ago, it connected immediately to AT&T Wifi and our wireless at work but I can NOT get it to connect to my Sprint MiFi 4082 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot at home. Does anyone have any suggestions? This is my only internet connection at home so if I can't get it to connect I will have to return it and I certainly don't want to do that!

I have the Verizon MiFi 4G (I think its 4150L). No problems connecting.

Are you getting any type of error message. Is it connecting to the MiFi, but not to the Internet?

There have been occasions with mine that it will connect to the MiFi, but I'll have to do a reboot (forcing it to 4G) on the MiFi. This week, that issue has dissapeared (I'm guessing Verizon made a change on their network - my mifi still has the same firmware).

Are you able to connect to the Mifi with other devices.

Can you get to the MiFi configuration page from your TF (I use 192.168.1.1 on mine)

Hello and welcome to the forum. Have you tried rebooting your modem?

No real error message, it shows connected for a second and then goes back to authenticating YET the MiFi shows that it is connected, or is simply shows that another device is connected which must be the TF. All of my other devices connect to the MiFi w/out issue. I have rebooted both the MiFi and the TF w/out success. I'm connected to WiFi on the TF at work right now, I will attempt to get to the configuration page from home. I wonder if the update yesterday to 3.2 is causing a problem.

Thank you, I'm learning a lot thru the forums and can see that people are eager to help. Yes, I rebooted everything numerous times.

When you get home, try changing the channel on your router. This helps in many cases

If I'm understanding the thread correctly, his MiFi is essentially his router. I don't remember if that option was available on mine (I'd have to look).

I read that somewhere but if the MiFi is my router I don't understand how I can do that. I'm sorry, I wouldn't say I'm tech illiterate but I'm certainly not a techie, I reasearched as much as I could prior to posting so not to sound to much like an idiot.

And this takes us back to if you can see the MiFi's configuration screen. If you can see it to change the channel, then you are connected to the MiFi, and the issue is with connecting to the Internet through the Mifi (different issue with different trouble-shooting/solutions)
