    Welcome to the forum!

I too have had some strange charging issues as of late. I have to unplug the USB connector at the block and plug it back in 2 or 3 times to get it to work.

What else you can try is to rotate the plug. Some people have issues with the polarity of the wall charger. Another tip is to take the charger apart and bend the pins where the wall plug contacts the charger pins in just slightly.

The only other item is if your wall plug is completely dead, which I have had some reports of. You can try plugging into a USB port and charge however it will take 36-48 hours to charge just the tablet. Tab+dock, even longer.

If you are in the US, Office Depot has started selling the wall plug and that might be another option too.

Thank you Frederuco, however none of the above has been successful. It refuses to charge with usb or with the wall charger in both orientations. I have tried doing a factory reset and that was to no avail. The usb cord does connect for data transfers though.
I'm thinking maybe a flash back to 3.1?

Hammer, have u tried pulling the adapter apart ? Not just pulling theusb cable from it,the adapter itself where you plug the usb cable comes in 2 pieces, slide it out and put them or slide it back in and hopefully do its trick, it did it on me, was having the same trouble last couple of days ago until it wont charge anymore and found this trick after i gave asus a call lastnight.

You can also try the freezer trick. Heard it works if you put the power brick in the freezer for an hour- make sure you put it in a zip lock bag first. Sounds weird, but it's suppose to release something that's stuck in the off position. no personal exp. with this fix.

UVA - if you are in the US you can try to pick up a spare charger at Office Depot.

As a last resort...you can try the USB cable "trickle charge" from your PC...it is slow...maybe 3-4% per day...but many report it worked for them. Once you're up to maybe 10%...retry the regular adapter and see if it works again (you'll be able to see it pretty much right away if the lightening bolt shows up in the battery widget icon).

When I plug it into a usb, what color should the light be next to the plug? I froze my adaptor last night plugged it in this morning and its flashing red....i had to leave for work, what does that mean?
