TF 101 Won't TURN ON...HELP please!!!
Hi everyone,
I used my TF101 this morning fore more than an hour then turned it off. I noticed that before turning it off it has 76% power capacity, I recharged it yesterday.
Then when I tried to turn it on again after 2 hours, it won't turned on. I tried pressing the volume and power button at the same time, still nothing happens.
HELP!!!

Try pressing and holding them both for up to a minute and it should power up. That is the volume down and the power button. You can let them both go just as soon as you see some small text in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

Hi Mr. Mickey,
I have tried what you have suggested a number of times but it still won't lit up!!!!
I just have this tablet for 2 months and have not used that much. Please help.
Thanks.

You can try plugging the cord into the Transformer on one end and into your PC on the other end and leaving it along for a couple hours to see if that will shake it loose. I would suggest a Factory Reset but if the screen won't wake up you can't very well do that.

Mr. Mickey is it normal than even when I plugged the TF 101 on my laptop and it is not being sensed by the laptop that I plugged something on its one of its USB drive?
Thanks...am sorry am bothering you a lot.

No problem. For some reason your TF has gone into a deep sleep mode and is not wanting to wake up. Although this is not normal it has happened to quite a few of our devices here on the forum and usually just pressing the power/volume down buttons for up to 30 seconds will wake the unit up. You may have to try this several times and some people even report their unit being very stubborn to wake up but most of the time the unit will wake up.
After you get it to wake up. I suggest backing up all your data, pictures, etc... and doing a Factory Reset. When you do the Factory Reset it is suggested to not allow Google to automatically re-install all your apps for you but you add them back 3-5 at a time and reboot the tablet inbetween adding them back.

It is possible that you have a bad app or two that is causing your issue because not all the apps in the app store are ready for ICS.

I haven't upgraded to ICS yet...its still the same OS when I got it from BestBuy, I think.

Oh, we'll I suggest you do some updates after we get it freed up! I am moving this thread to our RS section as some of our special help guys may have to guide you in getting your tablet up and going.

Hi Mr. Mickey,
I just want to update you on my TF 101, nothing works and I kept on doing the cold boot. My fingers got tired after doing it over and over. So I decided to call ASUS Customer Service and I have to do the cold boot with the Asus guy both on the laptop and the wall outlet...still nothing happens, so he told me to send it to their service center. I hope they will fix it fast.
Thanks for your assistance.
