Help! My TF101 won't turn on!

    I'm new...

I left my asus eee pad to charge over night and when trying to turn it on this morning it wouldn't turn on. I know many people have been having this problem, so i've been searching for the solution online. I looked at the Rescue squad guide already. It tried all of the things said to do, and none of them work. I haven't had any updates to my knowledge.

I've tried plugging it into my computer, and when pushing the pwr/lock button and Vol down button. I get an image of the battery symbol at red sometimes. Then It goes away. And sometimes i can't even get that. When it's plugged into the wall, the keyboard doesn't flash the orange light to show its charging. It only flashes once when I hold down the pwr/lock key and vol down key and the battery symbol shows up at red. Then it just stops. And i don't get what it means.

    Help please?

    Hi Monksea,

Looks like it is not charging?

I am not sure if you have tried this:-

It may help if you post exactly what you have tried as you may have missed something?

It means your battery is dead. You need to try to charge it.

It could be that your USB/power cable is bad, or it could be the wall wart adapter. Run through the RS guide that 14theroad posted to test if it is the wall adapter or the cord.

For about $30 USD you can get a new charger if you need it.

To truly test this you could go into a store that sells the Eee Pad series and ask them if you can test your pad on their floor model charger for 10 minutes to see if that causes it to power on.

Also, when plugging it into a computer to charge via USB, try doing it with ONLY the tablet, not the tablet and dock.

Just tell you all, my niece's Tablet is back in the saddle, it been OK, she may have let the battery go down to many time to 0. Thanks every one.
Also I picked up a extra Asus US charging Adapter Kit at Office Depot for $30.00 has a 5' usb cord, it's a Asus product.

Hey, I'm new to the whole form thing, but I am having the same problem as Monkesa meaning that no matter I do I can't get any response what so ever. my keyboard light will turn on and charge but the tablet itself won't. And yes I did follow most of the solutions on the thread posted my 14theroad; at least all the ones pertaining to tablets with chargers that work. It was working fine some hours before and all it did was sit inside a soft case in a car while I was eating lunch away from the car.

    Welcome to the forum!

Try holding the power button for 30 seconds, release, then a 3 second press.

I tried it with just the tablet, then I tried it with the tablet and keyboard, then I tried it with just the tablet plugged into the wall, then I tried the tablet and the keyboard plugged into the wall and the only thing I get is the green light on the keyboard saying it is fully charged.

Does this mean mine has gone kaput and I should get new one?

    Thanks
