    Transformer Prime Gets Benchmarked

If these new benchmarks are to be believed, then the upcoming Transformer Prime from Asus will be ridiculously powerful indeed. The Quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 powered Android tablet blasted through the AnTuTu benchmark with a score that almost hit 11,000! To put it in perspective, that's over twice as fast as the previous Tegra processor. If these marks are indicative of any level of real-world performance, then Asus and NVIDIA could have a real hit on their hands. What do you think?

3D (and 2D) graphics numbers are still subpar vs the iPad2's A5 chip. However, I don't care much about games so the TF2 is very interesting indeed. Especially RAM's performance. 2GB of RAM would have been awesome.

Was reading USAToday and thought I'd like to see a review of the Transformer 2 (Prime?) in USAtoday to get the word out to the public. Ask ebaig@usatoday.com to consider a review when available.

Curious how AnTuTu got their hands on a Prime when it wasn't released yet. Or it is it just an estimated benchmark?

ok couple of mistake here guys...

1.) o=it is quite obvious seeing as the Tegra 3 processor is supposed to have a 50-70% increase in CPU AND GPU processing, and there is absolutely no increase in either, there is a very good chance that the benchmarking software has been maxed out. Also there is a chance that they need to update there benchmarking program to fully appreciate these new components. That leads us to 2 very cool places, 1 that the 11000 point score shown is not the whole story, and 2 that this is a BASELINE STOCK model, and it it was OC'd to the level of all it's competitors on ANTUTU it would be much higher as well.

BTW that is def a REAL benchmark, estimates come out in articles, results come out in benchmarking software.

I just hope that there are more games and apps supporting it. For just browsing, email and office work, my TF101 is good enough.
