Lets say the release day is true on Nov. 7 2011. When would stores like Amazon and Frys electronics have the T2 available? I'm confused on the concept of release dates.

Yes, I've been waiting 2 months to see if the TF2 will have a full USB port on the tablet. From the brief teaser flash it seems doubtful and that combined with an uncertain Canadian release date is probably a deal killer. I may pick up the Acer A500 instead.

I like to have an Ipad2 again but might wait until the TF2 is released.
Seriously, you should get an ipad2 asap. The ipad2 is a nice looking device and seems to be a better fit for you. It's no point of clinging on the redhead and keep telling her you would rather be with the blonde.

I like Android though, I own a S2 and its a bleeding amazing phone. I like iOS but as people have mentioned its restrictive but the problem I have issues with is the Asus build quality and ICS, is this finally the stability I'm looking for in a tablet?.

The Prime looks gorgeous too but I wish they remove the freaking Asus logo on the tablet touch screen front

When ever it gets here I'm hoping for:

Lighter weight than the first transformer. Shoot for matching the iPad2's weight without the keyboard.
Longer lasting battery than the first transformer.
A slew of included apps that show off the Tegra 3's capabilities.
The same MSRP that the first Transformer started at ($399 for 16gb). Move the first one down to $299.

If they're releasing the Transformer 2 at $499, then I hope they atleast lower the dock by $50 dollars. I feel that the original Transformer's dock was priced at $150 because they expected most people to buy it along with the tablet (and why they priced the original transformer at at $399).

I'm all for keeping the price down, but you do that too much you keep the specs down also. Honestly, there is no equivalent to the TF made by ANYONE at this point and IMHO we should be extremely happy they aren't charging more of a premium for what had been a very hard to get product when it first came out. I have ZERO problem with a $100 price increase IF it is warranted with spec increase. I've said this before, but I will repeat it here: If Apple had come up with the TF with dock form factor you wouldn't hear the end of it. Asus has broken new ground with this form factor and I will gladly pay for the next version although I am currently VERY happy with the version we have right now. I do hope we see the TF2 on shelves soon as I will buy it and give this one I am typing on to my daughter, but I am not expecting it to hit store shelves as soon as many are thinking. Hope I am wrong on that account.
