Google Docs App Gets Update with Full Support for Honeycomb Tablets
Google has quietly updated their useful Google Docs App, and now it includes full support for Honeycomb Tablets. If you haven't noticed this already on your tab, give it a whirl. The new design of Google Docs looks really good on Honeycomb tablets. It's intuitive and smooth.
It has a new three-pane view. This gives you easier access to your collections. It also gives you quick access to starred items on the leftmost panel, a list of your docs in the middle, and a preview of the selected doc on the right.
While in preview mode, you can touch any of the docs to get a look, including sharing, privileges, and anyone currently editing the doc. To open any doc, you just need to tap the thumbnail.
Check it out in the Android Market.

Not to sound too negative, but one thing that keeps me from fully using Google Docs -- the inability to password protect a file. I don't put passwords on all my files, but I do a few. And those, I would feel uncomfortable leaving them "open" in my tablet as local copy.

Are you able to edit/access the files offline yet, or does it require an internet connection still?

Are you able to edit/access the files offline yet,
Just installed it, how do you edit? When I tap edit, the only option I see is copy.
