HBO Now Comes to Amazon Fire Tablets, Coming Soon to Amazon Fire TV

Now that the 90 day Apple exclusivity is over, HBO is bringing their HBO Now service to other platforms. They just announced that it is available for the Amazon Fire Tablets, and will be coming soon to the Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick. Amazon didn't specifically state which devices in their preview movie above, this means we will see the service come to Android related services and products soon too.

In fact, the industry is speculating we will get a Google Play Store and Chromecast announcement within the next day or two. Now, the only devices left out which don't have an official announcement of HBO Now is Xbox, Roku and Playstation. We will keep an eye out and let you know when/if that happens.

Next time I see TV companies whining about piracy, I'll have zero sympathy. Maybe they shouldn't engage in anti-competitive deals for the three people who have an Apple TV. Someone downloading from bittorrent can use it on any device they like, from the start. TV companies need to deliver this.
