Asus Shows Off New MeMO Pad 7 in a New Promo Video

Here's a new promo teaser video for the 7-Inch MeMO Pad from Asus. The device is pretty slick and the commercial takes a good 2 minutes to show off several of its features. It's really hard not to be enticed by the bargain price of $150 bucks, especially since it comes from Asus and has good specs for that price point.

Sidenote: For some reason this video is reminds me of the opening credits of the original Monty Python's Flying Circus TV series... I kept expecting it to end with a big foot smooshing everything.

You're right, very Pythonesque! Some of those features I'd probably skip over (e.g., notes, todo lists, photo management, etc.) but that price tag and the Floating App are definite perks!

I wonder if there'll be a 3G/4G version -- otherwise that shot of video chatting in the supermarket is a bit...um...misleading?

    Here you go Joe

Asus Officially Announces The Android 7-inch MeMo Pad for $149; US Launch in April

Mind you, Acer also have their Iconia B1-A71 8GB 7" Tablet - which has a dual core processor - 1.2Ghz MTK 8317T, but only 512mb RAM & 8bg storage though. Battery life on the Acer might not be as good either...not sure. But it is only $99.

Then there are also other devices such as Sumvision Cyclone Voyager 7" Tab

"You pays your money & takes your choice" - springs to mind...

Wait... what? That looks like an officially licensed network version of Microsoft Office. That's crazy! How'd they swing that? And is that included in the lifetime 5 Gb online storage or is it some sort of subscription service?
