Samsung Galaxy S2 Coming to the US, Branding Confirmed?

Pocketnow, via a wireless accessories website, has apparently discovered the names of 3 of the carrier-branded versions of the Galaxy S 2 that will be coming stateside later this year. The device will be known as the Attain on AT&T, the Function on Verizon Wireless, and the Within on Sprint.

Mysteriously absent is a T-Mobile version, suggesting either that the device wonít be coming to Americaís pinkest carrier, or that it will be arriving in a different (QWERTY?) form-factor which does not fit the case being advertised on the source webpage. Either that, or they just donít know the name of it, yet.

t-mobile and ATT are suppose to merge next year if they can get passed the monopoly laws. Maybe that's why.

Yeah, what buzzman. said. I kind of wish it wasn't with AT&T. I think they aren't a good carrier. But to each their own. Never was a fan of Samsung's spin on the OS either.

When this phone launches in the US, it could become one of the most popular android phones. Especially if the dev community gets behind it.

Yeah. The Galaxy series is very visually pleasing. People like seeing things that look nice. Plus the OS itself is very smooth on them. Never looked into why, but I was once a Moto fan, and now I'm a hardcore HTC fan. I guess I'll have to play with it to see if it can change my mind.
