Asus Launches New ME301T MemoPad 10 for Business-Class Users
We have an interesting new tablet from Asus to share with you guys today. It's called the ME301T MemoPad 10, and it is aimed squarely at the business crowd with a price-tag of around 308 euro ($406). Here's a quick spec breakdown:
- 10.1-inch display with 1,280 x 800 pixels resolution
- NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor
- 1 GB of RAM
- Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
- 16 GB of on-board storage
- Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi and 3G Versions
While the specs don't seem to be that spectacular for the price, we suspect that it will have a number of unique software secrutiy features tailored to its niche market that might justify that pricing. We don't know that for sure, but should find out even more at CES next week.

Business class? what's makes it a business class tablet? cuz it has 3g option? I use my Infinity for all work related documents, connections, projects, research, as well as media consumption (movies, music, pictures, etc)

Looks to me as if Asus may possibly be going to run two product ranges...
"Memo" - tablet only
"Transformer" - tablet & dock combo
Given that they have only sold the tf300 & tf700 across Europe as a forced purchase of dock & tablet, selling a tablet only for probably £299/€299 would likely be a good move.
The extra £100/€100 they add for the dock puts the combo well into budget laptop territory & for many, "misses the point" of getting a tablet. The great benefit of the tf101 launch in the UK & Europe was that you could buy the tablet & dock separately - just as you can in the USA.

I suspect two tablets and the padfone 3 to be introduced at the Mobile World Congress end of February. 7" Memo and 10" Memo. I predict the next tablet from Asus after these will be a high-end Tegra4 & Key-Lime Pie edition.
