Asus Transformer Pad Infinity Gets Minor Firmware Update, But Still on Android 4.1.1
Here's a head-scratcher for you. Apparently, there is a new minor firmware update for the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700. This minor update brings the software version to V10.4.4.18; however, it doesn't change the version of Android on the device. Even though Android 4.1.2 is out for several devices, this update leaves that alone, so the Infinity is still on 4.1.1. This update addresses problems with Wi-Fi, the QWERTY keyboard and the camera.
Even though this update doesn't quite get us to the next version of Android, it's still impressive to see how quickly Asus continues to update their devices. It would be nice to see all the OEMs take heed and follow this example.
Sound off if you are one of the folks who received this update already.
Thanks to our tipsters!

I just uploaded and QWERTY keyboard seems to respond faster. Wifi also seems faster. I did a cold boot after upload.

I too receive the update on my ft700.At first I thought it was jelly bean. LoL......I have a ft101 and just purchased the ft 700,neither has received jelly bean as of today. Looking forward to it!

Not available in UK yet it seems - no surprise there

My update arrived yesterday - brought me up to build JRO03C.WW_epad-10.4.4.25-20121228, although that's still Android 4.1.1. Wifi version V7.2.0.65 (don't know if that's up upgrade), and camera version TF700T-0xB03400 (again, don't know if that's an upgrade).
Haven't noticed any performance or behavioural differences.
Oddly enough, I didn't come across any advance notices prior to the upgrade - I'd idly checked for a system update and ... there it was!

As this thread is about an earlier update, I have closed it. Please refer to this thread for the 10.4.4.25 firmware update:
