Since I got mine right out of the gate I'm sure it won't work either but I'll look at home to see. Thanks!

bought my dock kind of early (mid Jan) and my dock version is 206...oh well c'est la vie...looks like I'll have to save a few more 15,000 pennies to get the dock. Maybe I'll get a champagne one with an amethyst 700

Engadget's opinion is that there's no compelling reason for a TF201 owner to upgrade. Seems there's some compelling reason for a TF101 owner (me!) to ugprade, but I'll wait till it comes out first and decide then. I was a happy owner up till the ICS fiasco. I'm now happy again, but cautiously so.

Oh, please. The improved screen resolution on the ipad 3 was enough cause for iGadget to recommend ipad 2 users to upgrade. Now that there's a screen resolution upgrade for the prime, they're telling people it's not worth it to upgrade.

Not to mention going from 1.3 to 1.6 on each core. That's gotta be worth something and also the plastic area on the back to help with wifi and GPS signal reception. It also looks like they improved the back camera as well!

Go ahead and let them know what you think, don't be shy
ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 review: meet the company's new top-of-the-line tablet -- Engadget
I thought it strange too that they say it is "improvements on most counts" but based their "doesn't offer many reasons to upgrade" on shorter battery life (9:25 compared to 10:17) and similar camera performance. I mean, c'mon, camera performance on a tablet?
And I was amused about them harping on about the "lifelike 2048x1536 display". I need to see how much more lifelike 264 dpi is compared to 224 dpi. I do think they have a valid point about the performance hiccups of Android though. It's one of those things I'm resigned to on my TF101. Every once in a while it'll stutter.

Since many of us won't consider the iPad 3rd generation, here's the closest competition to the TF700 : Acer Iconia Tab A700.
Review at Engadget : Acer Iconia Tab A700 review: a 10-inch ICS tablet with Tegra 3 and a 1920 x 1200 display -- Engadget
Summary : $50 cheaper, better audio, lower resolution but possibly better quality camera, no flash, but thicker, heavier, less battery life, slower CPU clocking, display is not IPS and less viewable outdoors.
If the street price difference is $50, I'll pay extra just for the Super IPS+ display of the TF700.

Tf700 will also have ddr3 ram.

Yes and as ive noticed when benchmarking my raspberry pi, RAM speeds give you a small but noticeable increase in speed
