Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 Specs and Release Timeframe Rumors Refresher

It's been a little while since we have seen any news come out regarding Asus' next flagship tablet, the Transformer Pad Infinity TF700. We thought we would share a refresher as well as a new rumored launch timeframe. According to the latest intel we have been hearing, the tablet will likely arrive sometime in July/August, although no specifics have been given. The device is probably ready for release, but Asus is waiting for a good market timing. Here's a refresh on specs of this awesome looking beast:
    • 1,920x1,200-pixel-resolution, 10.1-inch screen Super IPS+
    • TF700 can be mated with an optional keyboard dock
    • The front camera 2-megapixel and will allow for HD video chat conferencing
    • The 8-megapixel rear camera gets an aperture upgrade from F/2.4 to F/2.2 on the TF700. (This will allow for more detail in video and still shots.)
    • Improved back-panel design. (plastic instead of aluminum)
    • As thin as the Prime
    • Android 4.0
    • Nvidia Tegra 3 running at 1.6GHz
    • 1GB of RAM
    • Corning Gorilla Glass 2
    • Micro HDMI, and Micro SD
    • Optional keyboard dock available as an extra; priced about $150

Prices will likely start at $600 for 32GB and $700 for 64GB.

We have another discussion thread for specs going on here: Infinity 700 series, Pad 300 series specs

For me comparing with my Prime, if my Wifi was a 100% better, then I would not be gaining much, don't care about the higher Res. on the 700, that's my 2 cents.
But my Wifi between 1-10 is a 8, which could be better, but I'm happy with it.

A good market timing, i imagine this wait, and the pre-orders for the Acer A700 has already lost them at least 1000 customers throughout the world, silly ASUS

what about battery life compared to the padphone with dock, and tf101 with dock ? This is the most important for me.

750.00 to 850.00 for the tf700 and keyboard dock. Ouch!!! So for 500.00 we can get the Acer a700 with Bluetooth keyboard. I really hope Asus comes down on their pricing. That is to high for my blood.
I also thought the tf700 was aluminum like the prime but with about an inch of a plastic strip at the top being plastic for the wifi and GPS.

i was just talking to a guy at Future Shop tonight, who said they're expecting the Infinity Pad in July, and they're expecting a price of about $499, as the TF300 is $399, and the Prime is no longer available.

I am *not* saying this is a definitive answer....he could have been talking out of his butt. Or maybe he's seen internal documentation. I have no idea. It's just what he said.

So best buy is showing the 64 gig version of the tf700t for 599.99. So the 32 gig version should end up being 499.99.

I just exchanged my 300t today at best buy from screen issues im hoping that this is going to be out within 30 days so I can go upgrade ....

also if the difference between the 16gb and the 32gb 300t is only $30 why would there be a $100 drop from the 64gb to the 32gb ? although 599 is a bit pricey I would more than likeley make the switch.

For whatever reason Asus is being quiet on the Infinity, except for back in January when they blabbed their mouths off about replacing the new Prime with it! They were ready with the 300 and so the specs and all were definitive so since everything is so sketchy about the 700 I'm guessing there's some glitches somewhere that's calling for their usual silence!
