ASUS Eee Pad Transformer 2 with Ice Cream Sandwich and Tegra 3 Coming Oct/Nov
Although this may only be a rumor, if it turns out to be true, it would appear that ASUS is a bit "overzealous" about their Android Tablets. They just released their Eee Pad Transformer a couple of months ago to a rousing success, and now they already have planned an Eee Pad Transformer 2 that will launch using the NVIDIA Tegra 3 (Kal-El) Quad-core processor, and Google's latest Android OS, Ice Cream Sandwich. Additionally, sources also suggest that ASUS will still price things very competitively at $399.99. Apparently, ASUS will actually not be making any profit on either version of the Transformer. They are selling the tablets at a "break-even" price-point and instead will make profit on sales of the keyboard dock. That's a gutsy, but pretty sharp move. What do you guys think?

I heard it was going to be a 13" notebook not a tablet.

Most likely is true.. many manufacturers including Moto are already testing quad-core chips for Nvidia and preparing to release their quad-core when the chips go into fab full production, which is nicely around the same time Android 4 is due. I am guessing the majority of end of year tablets will be quad core with Android 4.
To me, 10" seems to be the right size for tablets.. maybe 12 at most.. 7" is not bad, but a little small it's too close to 4.5" phone screens and 10" tablet screens. Although, if a 7" tablet with 8+ MP camera + 2+MP front camera with superamoled screen came out, I'd really consider it.

That's incorrect. First off, if it was a notebook it wouldn't be the Transformer lol. They're rumored to be working on an Android notebook though, it just isn't the Transformer 2.

Ice Cream Sandwich, the codename for the next version of Android (after 3.2) coming in 4Q. It will run on virtually any Android device, including the ASUS Transformer, Google TV, and most Android phones.
