Problems with automatic undock (Windows Continuum) after Fall Creators Update

    Hello all,

after installing Fall Creators Update, Windows stopped to ask if it should switch to tablet mode after I detach the tablet from keyboard (the so-named Windows Continuum feature). Also after attaching keyboard, the rotate lock function should be grayed out (to prevent rotation of screen with keyboard attached), as it was before installing the update. The worst problem is with on-screen keyboard - it now constantly shows even when physical keyboard is attached - it doesn't show before update.

It seems that this is exactly the same problem to described here, but for t100ta: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...3306003?auth=1

I've tried to install the newest ATK package as suggested, but it didn't solve the problem. I've also tried to update ASUS Keyboard Lock application from 1.0.9 to 1.0.10 (the newest), but without success...

Does anyone have the same issue here?

I have exactly the same issue. Since I've updated to 1709 FCU the automatic switching to tablet mode and back to desktop mode stopped working. Rotation mode is still active if keyboard is docked. Updates of ASUS Keyboard Lock (v1.0.12) and ATK Package (v1.0.0057) doesn't change anything. I hope ASUS can fix this asap.

When did you find ASUS Keyboard Lock v1.0.12 and ATK Package v1.0.0057? The only versions I've seen on ASUS t102ha support webpage https://www.asus.com/2-in-1-PCs/ASUS...Desk_Download/ are: ASUS Keyboard Lock v1.0.10 and ATK Package v1.0.0050 and those versions I've got from ASUS support via e-mail to try to install - but it didn't help.

In the meantime I discovered, that when I've uninstalled old ATK Package v1.0.0044 and ASUS Keyboard Lock v1.0.9, and later only install ATK Package v1.0.0050 and NOT INSTALL ASUS Keyboard Lock at all (+ reboot), it fixed my problem! I only wonder if missing ASUS Keyboard Lock didn't create another issue, but so far, so good.

You can find them here: EDIT The packages there are possibly not official or for other (newer) ASUS devices, but in the past I had no problems with them on my notebooks/tablets. Currently I'm back on the officially released versions of both packages for the T102HA, because the installation of newer versions doesn't result in a working solution on Win10 FCU.

As discovered by you I have now also uninstalled the ASUS Keyboard Lock tool and it works like a charm. Thanks for sharing this solution.

Your link has been removed, but I've found the site - it is enough to search for "Latest ASUS drivers for Windows 10" in Google

I had the same problem with the onscreen keyboard. So following this threads suggestions I uninstalled both the ATK and Asus Keyboard lock official drivers, rebooted and installed ATK 100055, and Keyboard Lock 1012. After rebooting again my T102HA would only come up in Tablet mode, and not matter what I did would not switch to desktop mode. In an effort to troubleshoot I uninstalled the Keyboard lock driver and rebooted intending to reinstall the official driver 1010. After the reboot, and before installing the keyboard lock I decided to test and see how it was working. To my surprise everything is running fine. The machine switches back and forth to tablet mode as I connect or disconnect the keyboard, the onscreen keyboard behaves as its supposed to, and the screen rotates fine. So at this point I've decided to leave the keyboard lock driver off unless problems arise later

Guess I should have read through this instead of skimming, would have saved me a little trouble. Thanks

I've tried the v1.0.13 and can confirm that this version recovers the functionality of tablet mode and rotation lock how they were working on former Windows 10 versions.
