touchscreen input delay a few seconds after writing with pen

There is an annoying 2-3 second delay for the screen to respond to my touch after I use the pen for writing or input.
Somebody has a similar problem with the hp spectre where hp issued a touchscreen firmware fix.

    I've tried toggling on/off settings>device>pen & ink>Ignore touch input when using pen
no difference, there is still a touch delay.

    Any advice?

I didn't find any touchscreen firmware or driver update on asus's drivers website.
my current touchscreen driver is "HID-compliant touch screen" 6/21/2006 ver 10.0.14393.351

Emailed Asus customer support and they did say this touch delay shouldn't happen.
They suggested reinstalling the "HID compliant touch" driver, reset bios, reinstalling the chipset drivers, and lastly reinstalling windows.

Well, the touch delay is still there after all that.

It does the same for me. IMHO it's part of Windows Palm rejection (which somewhat changed after creators update).

It's certainly not 'input lag', and it's certainly not weak CPU.

Can please anyone reading this try it and report if his device does it or not ? I mean is it bug or is it intended ? Should I keep searching for fixes ?

So I found good description of current palm rejection in Windows 10.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win...ows-pen-states

And it's clear T102HA does not support it. It simply disables all touches while the pen is down. So I think it is actually problem in touchscreen driver, not Windows. Or rather BIOS, as the touchscreen driver is actually generic driver from Microsoft.

Also based on USB vendor ID the manufacturer of the touchpad-stylus combo is Elan Microelectronics .. but they don't provide any software by themselves. We need Asus to address this.

I had contacted Asus soon after I bought the device about the same issue. They had stated there is no setting to turn this off and that is the only operation. Unfortunate. Still a lightweight with super long battery life but if an artist or anything pen primary is totally useless. Get a surface which is the only real pen computer.
