    [SOLVED] Keyboard in portrait mode.

Is it normal when keyboard is folded back behind the device in portrait mode for the keyboard and trackpad to still be active. I'm not saying it should or shouldn't just trying to figure out if I have problem or not. I have a Surface Pro 3 and when keyboard is folded back behind the device in portrait mode the keyboard and trackpad are disabled. I looked through the E-manual and searched the internet and this forum and cannot find an answer one way or the other, so I figured I would ask other owners of the Transformer T102HA. Any help you can provide will greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

My wife's NEC laptop can be folded to become a tablet, and in that position the keyboard is disabled.

My view is that if it isn't disabled when it is folded back, whether the T102HA is meant to disable it or not, you have a device which isn't fit for purpose, so either its faulty and get it replaced, or its stupidly designed in which case get something else.

Thanks for the responses. I agree, just not sure if its a bad design flaw or the way its meant to work. I emailed Asus and they did respond back with a generic response on how to properly attach the keyboard to the device. I'm hoping another Transformer T102HA owner will flip the keyboard back in portrait mode and see if the keyboard and trackpad are active with the keyboard flipped back. The closest Microsoft store is 4 hours away, I don't want to make the drive to just test the keyboard.

It staggers me that Asus cannot just tell you the answer to a direct question...
"On the T102HA, when the keyboard is folded back behind the device in portrait mode as a tablet, will the keyboard and trackpad still be active?"

I want to thank everyone for their help. I found the answer, I had to reload "ASUS Keyboard Lock" from their website and that fixed the problem, it was under Utilities. Now why Asus could not have answered this question is beyond me, but sometimes when questions go "off script" tech support will give generic answers. At least that has been my experience with Dell, HP and Lenovo over the past few years.
