Thanks for the links. Still doesn't answer question about the sdxc speeds, just states that it will be slow. Wonder if it's the same as the t100ta speeds.

SSD speeds aren't bad either for what I need. I was leaning towards the t305ca but it hasn't been released here in NA yet.

Everything else is what I expected/read about already.

Swipe, do you use an SD card with your unit? Can you tell me if the card sits flush or if it sticks out, similar to the t100?

    microSD card

Picture shows card slightly "inside" the slot -- not sticking out at all.

Yeah, just saw this one last week I believe. Looking forward to it whenever it's released in NA. I have a zenbook ux305fa and really enjoy it, so I know I will enjoy this too. I like the processing power provided and how much I can get done with it. Works for me.

    merry christmas.

just wanted to chime in and say that i am now an owner of the t102. my wife was super sneaky and she ended up picking one up on sale at best buy. ill post in a few days after usage on what i think of it. so far i really like the physical hardware. one thing i will have to get used to is opening the kickstand as i primarily use these transformer devices as a laptop only.

I'm thinking of picking up a new 10 inch device.
If I read the following benchmarks correctly, the T100 Chi 4GB/128GB has a faster processor (Bay Trail Z3795) than the T102 Transformer Mini (Cherry Trail X5-z8350)
    Screenshot (17).png
That should be somewhat made up for by the better Cherry Trail graphics processor, but watching and creating videos aren't a priority for me on this machine.

I just purchased a T102HA from the Microsoft Store. The $100 drop in price to $249 (64GB) made it very attractive.

i owned a T100TAM for a couple of weeks. I currently own both the 32GB version of the T100CHI and the newer 128GB T100CHI.

The T100CHI does have better screen resolution and a slightly faster processor. It is a very good looking notebook.
However, I would choose the T102 over the CHI.

    T102HA Pluses (comparisons to CHI)

1} Better keyboard - the CHI bluetooth keyboard is tedious as it times out and needs a key press to start, the touchpad is touchy.
    2) The microSD sits flush or lower in the microSD slot. All other T100s have the SD card sticking out.
    3) The microSD interface is significantly faster. A Samsung EVO plus 90/80 R/W speed runs at 76/43 on the T102.
    4) The keyboard can be used in safe mode and during a Macrium Reflect restore.
    5) The USB 3.0 interface runs at 3.0 speeds unlike the T100 USB which runs at 2.0 speeds.
    6) The screen is very bright
    7) The tablet is significantly lighter.
    8) Full size USB 3.0 slot. There is no full size USB slot on the CHI.
    9) Windows Hello support - fingerprint
    10) Comes with a good active pen and the same interface as the Surface Pro 4 - the CHI did not include a pen.
    11) Lower idle power usage - 1.2 W with WIFI on.
    12) Longer video playing and streaming. 2 W power usage playing a 720P mkv video - about 14 hours. The CHI higher resolution screen uses more power.
    13) Much ouder speakers.
    14) Very fast WIFI - up to 120 Mbps on a Xfinity 100 Mbps account. The CHI maxes out at less than 40 Mbps.

    T100CHI Pluses

    1) Faster CPU
    2) Full HD screen
    3) Slightly faster eMMc drive
    4) True clam shell design
    5) Has both front and back cameras.

    Miscellaneous comments

The Infiland T102HA case ($16.95) really helps make the T102HA more lappable and provides good protection.
Macrium Reflect can boot with touchscreen support with the following two drivers:

    iai2c.inf_amd64_013689585024c72b
    mbi.inf_amd64_94f63bb28c37afad

Add a 128GB microSD and a 128GB Ultra Fit 128GB USB 3.0 flash drive for plenty of disk space.
