[How To] Disable mobile sites in stock browser
So you only want to go to full websites and bypass any sites that prompt to their mobile versions.
Here is how:
For Honeycomb 3.0- Open your stock browser
- Type about:debug in the URL window and hit enter
- Hit the menu button top right
- Click "settings"
- Click "debug" in the left menu
- Click "UAString" (second from the top)
- Click desktop
For Honeycomb 3.1 and 3.2- Open your stock browser
- Hit the menu button top right
- Click "settings"
- Click "Advanced" in the left menu
- Scroll down and click "User agent string"
- Check "desktop"
For Honeycomb 3.2.1- Open your stock browser
- Hit the menu button top right
- Click "settings"
- Click "Advanced" in the left menu
- Scroll down and click "User agent string" under "Page content settings"
- Check "desktop"
For ICS 4.0.3 (option #1)
- Open your stock browser
- Type about:debug in the URL window and hit enter
- Hit the menu button top right
- Click "settings"
- Click "debug" in the left menu
- Click "UAString" (at the bottom)
- Click desktop
For ICS 4.0.3 (Option #2)
- Open your stock browser
- Hit the menu button top right while on the page you want to view in the desktop version
- Check request desktop site
For ICS 4.0.3 (Option #3 - Highly Recommended)
- Download ICS+ Browser from the
- After installing open the ICS+ Browser and hit the menu button top right
- Click settings
- Click advanced
- Click User Agent
- Check desktop
That is it. Now every site you visit will automatically go to the regular version instead of the mobile version.

I thought that the transformer came already opening pages in full mode?

Just an FYI. This is not a permanent fix. You may have to redo it when you reboot or shut your Transformer down.
i tried that in the firefox browswer but it didnt work. is this ONLY for the generic "browser" that came with the eee pad?

Yes as the title of the thread states it is for the stock browser.

firefox, skyfire, dolphin all have their own options for desktop view

In updated OS, it is now under 'Advanced' , 'User agent string' under the settings menu.

Now using Android 3.1, step 6 does not appear.
