ASUS Transformer Book TX300 and Pen

    Hello,

i have Convertible Tablet-PCs for years - with Win XP and Wind 7 - from Siemens and form Asus.

Now i bought the new ASUS Transformer Book TX300. Great hardware - but Windows 8.... without words. OK - thatīs Windows 8.

With the ASUS Transformer Book TX300 there is no Pen delivered. I thought no problem, because i have pens from my old Convertible Tablet-PCs. But no chance: these pens doesnīt work with the new ASUS Book - because the display is different to the old ones.

OK - i bought a pen: Bamboo Stylus.

This pen is working - but the problem is, that if i work with the pen and i also touch the display also with my hand - the display noticed both: the pen and my hand. The display should "deactive the hand", if i have the pen.

My question: Is there an option in Windows 8 or does i need a different pen with such a function.

I believe that this isnīt possible at all with the ASUS Transformer Book TX300 - and this is really bad. Thats no problem with the Asus Book (really great hardware - extrem fast, no noise - really really great) - itīs this fu... Win8 - i canīt work with it.

    Thank you very much
    Best regards
    George

    Thats a good question .

Actually i use OneNote with a stylus on my current Motion Computing CFT-001 , which only has the stylus support and no touch screen. I have the Tx300 lying box packed and I haven't opened or touched it as yet for daily usage.

But certainly would like to use a stylus with it as well for note taking. Can you please tell me which Bamboo stylus model are you using. I would love a pen-type stylus for actually writing, and not a stick with silicon tip just to replicate the human finger touch.

But is there anyway to disable the touch screen when using a stylus, otherwise it would register the finger and palm touch.

More like the Synaptics Touchpad app in my laptop, when an external pointing device, usb or bluetooth mouse is connected, the laptop touch pad is automatically disabled to prevent any hassle.

    Thanks for an answer.
