Asus Transformer Book TX300 display port adapter?

    Hi together.
I tried a display port adapter but that seems not to work. I don't get a picture ont the connected display. It even did not recognize the connected display correctly.

    The adapter is this one.

    http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B002...ls_o00_s01_i01

Does anybody know which adapter I need or what the problem could be?

In parallel? Do you mean Clone/Mirror mode?

Windows handles external displays as a multi-monitor setup.

So modes includes LCD only (no output), Clone/Mirror (same output to both screens), Span/Extended (one screen acts as extension of the other), and CRT only (output only)...

These modes don't always trigger on their own and may need to be set manually, there's usually a way to toggle the modes!

While using a secondary adapter to display may effect the detection of the external screen and you may have to try enabling and setting the external display settings manually. The display adapter may also require special drivers and you'll have to see if the maker provides any updates for Windows 8?

Yes I had similar installatins in the path on other devices. I always had to activate the mode I wanted to use but at least I always saw the connected output devices without any action. Here the situation is that I connect a monitor to the port and I see nothing in the OS. Maybe I just have to try another adapter.

Maybe, I read on the Apple Support Communities that even with Apple products the adapter doesn't always work well... One weird solution even had the desktop resolution temporarily set to 1024x768... while others had to connect the cable in specific order of Monitor first then HDMI to adapter and then adapter to miniDP...

AW: Asus Transformer Book TX300 display port adapter?

I tried all possible orders already. Nothing helped so far. Now I ordered a bunch of adapters to see if I find a working one.

After all the different display port to "any" adapter where delivered I figured out that only displayport2VGA is working at all. But with that you becam your full HD output like expected. At mine none of the displayport to hdmi or displayport to DVI adapters worked.

    Hi there.
On my side a bought an adapter that is supposed to handle HDMI and DVI connection. I have tried both of then and even a VGA connection with an additional passive adapter and I was not able to get anything on screen.
Does any one succeed to get something display from this displayport? What are then the reference of the adapter you used?
    Thanks for you help.

    Hi, same Problem here...

Tryed a minidisplayport to dvi Adapter without any success!
Also tryed mirror, split-screen Settings etc. in the Intel vga Panel, no picture.

On my dell 24" display the Signal led goes to green but has no content

Anyone has a solution for that miss-behaviour?
In the meantime i have opened a ticket at asus and waiting for a feedback.

    thx
    MoPhat
