Pls my asus trio screen problem

    Hi all,
My new asus trio tx201L apparently has blank screen no matter how I try. It just refused to show. Previously, sometimes, it has this problem but it is now persistently blank... I am frustrated and desperate and need help!!

This is the same issue I just started having! I am on asus live support now...hopefully they can resolve the issue and I'll let you know as well. I'm worried that it is dead and I'll lose all of my data.

Ok, asus hung up on me...but the last thing they had me do appears to have gotten me working in Windows. I disconnected the power charger, pressed the Windows power button and held it for 50 seconds (it turned on then off pretty quickly). Then I pressed it once and it turned on. Trying to get Android up by going to Windows then pressing the change OS button.... it says "Android is powering on, please wait..." and has been doing that for a time now (about 3 minutes).

*sigh* I went back online with tech support and now the laptop seems dead. I cannot even get the windows base to power on. They want me to send it in for service of course I'm travelling so I don't really have a good way to do this and am out my laptop.

    I had similar experience.
Windows running fine, but when i switch to android then it just went dark. nothing seemed to help to get the screen back even when i tried to return back to windows. undock android still did not work.. I have to get the battery dead and then be able to start the windows again. tried to reset everything back to win 8 (yeah. i updated to 8.1 before google it ) and that did not work either.
Contacted ASUS support and sent mine in for repair.. it just came back with the following repair details
    1. Sympton: LCD screen leaked
Repair: Replace TX201LA-1A PAD SYS ASSY W/CM
    2. Sympton: HDD Bad Track
    Repair: Replace STAT3 JAGUAR-B7 500G 5400R 2

Will test it later and see how it works..

Good luck PwrByLinux, I'm about to send mine in for service. Windows on mine will work fine, but if I turn on the tablet for any reason the display will not work after the BIOS screen it just goes black after the ASUS spinner screen and I basically have to wait for the batteries to drain, then recharge them to try anything else (takes 3-4 days or so to get through one iteration).

This Problem has been discussed in the thread "new Owner ...."
If the screen stays black, press the Power-off-Button for 30 seconds. After that you can start Windows normally

Holding the power-off-button hasn't helped my android tablet boot at all.

Both devices can be force booted by holding their respective power buttons for 30 seconds. Windows will shut down and require a second button press to start while Android will restart. If either device fails to completely restart after a forced restart then there is either a software (most likely) or a hardware (less likely) issue present. Since we don't have root or custom recovery available on the tablet the only choice is to seek assistance from Asus if the tablet refuses to boot. Unless someone can explain in English rather that Chinese how to manually install a ROM on the tablet.
