    Windows 10 Upgrade/Install Fixes

I know many of you have had many problems with the Windows 10 Upgrade. From the mouse pad to the graphics driver, I have found several solutions that should help you with this.

NO DISPLAY/ ANDROID TO WINDOWS SWITCH NOT SHOWING WINDOWS
-Windows 10 seems to update the graphics driver which seems to malfunction with our laptops. This is the cause of the problem.
The fix I found was to BLOCK the update and INSTALL the Windows 8.1 VGA driver from the Asus support site.
-First check out this website: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3073930
-Download the tool from it and run it.
-You will get a list of updates that were installed.
-Select the Intel HD Family driver update.
-This should stop Windows 10 from updating the graphics driver.
-After that just install the Asus VGA Driver it will alert you that the driver is older than the one installed, just proceed.

I'll post more fixes as they are brought up here.

    Hope this helps. ;-)

The Windows switch works excellent after the Paintballeralex07 update advice "Windows 10 Upgrade/Install Fixes".
To deactivate the trackpad; I have cut a peace of thin hard plastic that covers the trackpad, fixed with a tape hinge. It works!

    I did your suggestion and re-installed the win8.1 Asus VGA driver 10 : VGA_Intel_TX201_Win81_64_VER1018103368
Solved my pb with video switching.. many thx
Had to reinstall Asus Power4Gear and also smartGesture from win8.1 to solve remaining issues with usb and trackpad.
    Win10 works fine

I upgraded to Windows 10 and it was working perfectly... Now the OS Switch button does not work:
-When in Android pressing the OS Switch works and Windows boots up.
-When in Windows Pressing the OS Switch seems to start Android in the background but the display will not switch.
**I reverted back to the previous driver with no luck, any ideas?

    It is ok now...
I am running the windows 10 graphics driver.
But I uninstalled the installed ATK and installed version ATKPackage_Win81_64_VER100031
    Working perfectly now.

    Hello Steve.

I'd suggest you not to do all those things. Look at which version do you have for ATK Package software. Maybe, you don't have the latest version 1.0.0031. You can download from the ASUS web page. Before this, you have to uninstall the previous version 1.0.0030 from Apps & Features.
If your problems still goes on, try to do an other thing.

    Bye.

The fix here has stopped working for me a few months agao and window 10 update keeps installing Intel Graphics HD driver 20.19.15.4444 over 10.18.10.3368 that seems to work best...but not perfect. I ended up turning off win10 auto-update in settings and now it is better, just complains a bit about the waiting update.
I did try Asus for a fix, an I got their usual poor standard of reply...'go back to windows 8'
Anybody out there any better ideas ?

    Cheers

I had the Smart Gesture trackpad working perfectly after a WIn 10 upgrade - for about a day. Then it stopped. I had to install the ATK, reboot, then the proper trackpad software.

Five hours later of the Repair, Remove, Install and Reboot cycles, I hit upon the following. To my knowledge, nobody else had tried this.

After installation, go in to C:\Pragram Files\ASUS\ASUS Smart Gesture\win10\AsusTPDriv\x86 and run install.bat. The smart gesture icon instantly appeared in the task bar and I had all my gestures appear.

    Hope that helps.
