    Transformer TRIO HDD

Does anyone know if Asus intends the following:
1-continue to produce the Trio (in view of issues w Google and Microsoft about TD300)
2-if so, will they upgrade the HDD drive to an SDD
Ty for any feedback. I am in the market for a TRIO although I would have waited for the TD300 but now reads that it might be cancelled (bummer!)

I read about a Trio variant with a SSD coming in spring 2014. But there is no warranty that this information is true.

i did some research on the web and found couple of vendors in australia that will customize the trio? they will upgrade the hdd to a ssd? how come we don't have the same in the US?does this nullify the asus warranty?

customized asus transformer trio with SSD

i noticed that on the web there exists australian retailers that sell the transformer trio customized with an SSD instead of the "standard" factory installed HDD. I am curious as to:
1-will such a unit be warranted by Asus or is it warranted only by the retailer
2-why such retailers exist only in australia? do they have different patent laws there? i could not find any US retailer that will sell such a unit?

I was reading about the TD300 issue as well. I believe that was an issue because Android was being virtualized on Windows (sounds like garbage performance, btw; not even worth talking about) instead of a true dual system like the TX201. Google doesn't want their Android users getting shite performance on the TX201. Don't know why MS was whining about it though. It's a virtualization program running on a legally licensed copy of their OS. They should have been "okay, well we can't guarantee how good it'll be but go for it; no skin off our nose."

It is NOT virtualized, according to ASUS:

The TD300 is not going to happen, sadly.
