T300LA - Keyboard Dock not Working - Please Help

    Hello ,
My brother bought an ASUS Transformer notebook T300LA-DH51T from amazon.
Last month his friend updated the notebook to windows 8 pro and he gave it to me .
As the windows was not activated so i activated it with unofficial package.
The problem started last week when i updated some blutooth drivers and the keyboard dock stopped working . Tried all the possible solutions of installing and uninstalling the bluetooth drivers and all the packagaes .
Tried to connect the other brands Bluetooth keyboards and they are working fine. All the wireless connections are working fine. It's connecting to mobile phone via Bluetooth and connected to WiFi also.
So now i believe the last option for me is to do a clean install of windows 8 on this machine (as the OEM recovery partition was deleted) and i want to have official and genuine windows8 on this machine.

So before i proceed to do a clean install , i need a little help from community members to answer few of my questions.

    1) This notebook came with windows 8 64bit(single language) or which version of Windows 8 64bit ?
    2) Have you updated to windows 8.1 , and is the keyboard dock working after update ?
    3) Which driver package is responsible for Keyboard Dock. Official Drivers are here (Notebooks & Ultrabooks - ASUS Transformer Book T300LA - ASUS)
    4) Also what do u suggest? Updating to windows 8.1 or stick to Windows 8 only ?

    Would Highly appreciate a reply.
    Thanks in Advance.

I hate to ask the obvious, but are you sure the keyboard is charged up?

There is a micro-USB port on the side of the keyboard for charging it. Plug that into the USB on the tablet part and see what happens.

Yes, the keyboard is fully charged, tried all the possible ways to connect it. It's showing the blinking white light but not connecting to the notebook.

    Had this same problem.

Not sure if you solved it.

I refreshed my pc )that's a restore while keeping all files and photos. Check your search sidebar in windows 8).

This worked but going to be very careful about what updates I allow here on. When I did the refresh it advised me that I would have to reinstall ASUS smart gesture and asus usb charger plus. not sure if those were the issues.

I have really similar problem. It stops to work from time to time. The dock is fully charged and does not connect to the tablet part. And the worst is I have no idea how to make it work. After restart it does not connect. Then suddenly the dock starts to work again.

I have the same problem. In my case, when the keyboard and touchpad stop working, the corresponding drivers simply disappear. It may come back after some time, but then it stops again.

I believe it has to do with Windows 8.1 but I couldn´t find anything in Microsoft support.

    Does anybody have a hint?

My T300L had the same keyboard issues. I made sure that it wasn't a firewall and also noticed that the keyboard and touchpad would work until wifi would register during start up. I placed the system in AIRPLANE mode and the keyboard with touchpad began working. I turned AIRPLANE mode off and the it continued working. This will allow you to keep updates and continue without a reset. I know this is late, but I still love my T300L and it was worth finding a solution. Should you face the problem again, complete the process.
