    T200 doesn't show any image/doesn't boot after connecting to an external screen

    Hi,

    In the last few days I have been connecting my T200 (my daily work laptop) to external screens and today, after booting and being fully charged, I connected it to the LCD trough the usual VGA adaptor. Once I did that, the screen went black as well the LCD, so no image in any of the devices. I reconnected the cable and the problem was still there, no image either before on the T200 screen or after on LCD. I tried power off the device with the dock station, without being connected to any thing else and no image. I even tried connecting it to another LCD trough HDMI adaptor and all I get is blank image (no backlight on the screen either), not even the light that comes up next to the front camera lights. One thing I noticed is that when I press the power on button, the light next to it is white and it blinks 5/6 times.
    I have read some of the threads that around here and tried some of the suggestions but nothing happened.

    Is there something I should do? Today I wasn't able to talk to the Asus Support but I'm thinking about calling tomorrow.
    Like I said, I have doing this for some time and never experienced something similar to this. I'm getting quite frustrated since is my work "laptop" and I need to get work done (the best part is that I'm away from work for this week so no access to another one....).

    Doesn't sound good Laura...

    I think something has failed in the hardware and it will need either a Retail exchange or a warranty repair via Asus...

    I believe so... Today I called Asus Support and they said I have to send them the device. It's a shame

    I have it back now and they changed the motherboard.

    We have returned 10 tablets with same problem. Using the HDMI port damages the motherboard.
