    Booting from USB stick

    Hello,

I have seen this question posed a few times - and following though those does not yield the results for me.

I have a bootable USB stick (tested on another machine).

I have disabled the Secure Boot from the BIOS (going in via F2 during a restart).

I can see the USB stick when I am in the BIOS (listed as UEFI Flash Drive v8.0).

However, when I select this - the screen flashes as if it is going to boot into the USB - but comes straight back to the BIOS screen.
I can also set the boot order with the USB stick as the first device - but it still boots into Windows (the second option).

I have seen talk in other threads of going into the General tab and disabling Launch CSM. I simply do not have a General tab - nor do I see this Launch CSM option in any screen.

The BIOS version is American Megatrends - v2.08.

I am missing something completely obvious?

    Hi,

Doesn`t look like it is possible to boot directly from a USB stick using the T200.

    Thanks

I have the same issue with my t100! I really would like to boot alt. os , but can't due to no launch csm.
I did also update my bios but still no launch csm option!
You are not the only one!
If you are attempting to run another os you can use vmware or virtual box, they just are memory and battery chewers.
please post if you end up finding anymore out!

Make sure that the image is UEFI compatible.

Did you use the Rufus tool to make the USB?

Glad its not just me with this issue - I haven't made any progress at all.

Yes - I did use the Rufus tool to make the USB and still no joy.
