Free Win 10 upgrade for T200?

Some laptops will get an option to upgrade them for free to Windows 10 when it comes out.

My question, will we have the same options for out T200 to free update it to Windows 10?

If not, will we be able to update it to Win 10 with payment? Will upgrade even work for T200? I have Win 8.1 64 bit version

I would guess at the minimum you could upgrade for something less than what Windows 10 will normally sell for. The free part is, at this point, rumor and speculation.

I'm in the Windows 10 tech preview program, and I can confirm that, yes, anyone using Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 will get a free upgrade to 10. That was announced a few weeks ago. The only question I have is whether or not we T200 users will be able to upgrade without going through the whole process of converting to an uncompressed Windows 8.1 installation to make the upgrade work like we have to currently. I'll admit, I want 10 on this machine badly, and being in the tech preview I could do it, but I don't want to go through that whole rigamarole only to find out come public release time that I don't have to. I might have to do some digging around the 10 community and see if there's any information on that.

The only thing/"issue" I can see being present with such an upgrade are the drivers. Otherwise it should be no different than any other PC or laptop with Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 installed.
And yes, as JoshTheRadioDude pointed out above me, it will be totally free (hell, even "pirates" with a non-genuine copy of Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 will have the option to upgrade for free).

Seems like this would be the case for any computer upgrading. The drivers should be the same for both operating systems so I don't see too many issues.
