    T200 64-bit Benchmark vs T100 32-bit

Can someone run a Benchmark test on their T200 so we can compare this to the T100? I'm interested in purchasing the T200 64-bit (4GB RAM) model, but was hoping to compare its benchmark to the T100 model. Obviously, the T100 is 32-bit unlike the new T200, but I believe both have the same Atom Z3795 processor.

If anyone has the 64-bit model of the T200 and can post some benchmark information that would be great. Thanks in advance,

Just a clarification but no, there is no T100 model with the Z3795 and it either comes with the originally released Z3740 or the Z3775 for the updated models... While the T200 comes with either the Z3775 or the Z3795 for the new 4GB RAM model... So the only overlap is with the Z3775, but the Z3795 is top of the line for the mobile Bay Trail SoCs and only the newest T200 offers it in the T-Series...

Here's some data on each SoC for comparison...

    ARK | Intel® Atom? Processor Z3740 (2M Cache, up to 1.86 GHz)

    ARK | Intel® Atom? Processor Z3775 (2M Cache, up to 2.39 GHz)

    ARK | Intel® Atom? Processor Z3795 (2M Cache, up to 2.39 GHz)

Thanks Zeo, this is a big help. I was basically trying to figure out how much of a performance boost I would gain if I upgrade to the 4GB 64-bit T200 model. I read that this doesn't necessarily mean the newer chip will perform better, and figured if someone ran a benchmark test on the T100 & T200 it would help compare just much extra power we'd get out of the T200.

Thanks again for sharing the links, appreciate it.

Correct, mobile chips have to deal with power budget and every device can be optimized differently... So it's not just a matter of straight up specs comparison... thus it's a good idea to get real world benchmarks to be sure on how a given system will perform...

Along with other factors like whether or not they include a faster or slower main drive... eMMC is still a developing technology and still has a long way to catch up with SSDs, but sometimes they cut corners by using a older and slower eMMC when increasing one of the other specs, like the SoC... which was one of the issues with the Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet 10 that also uses the Z3795...

Basically, keep an eye out for differentiating the CPU scores from other scores and for the CPU scores keep in mind the SoC operates with a base clock, a Burst mode (Turbo) Clock, and thermal limits will determine how long the Burst mode can be maintained and whether the SoC will under clock when it overheats...

But one thing we do know is the newer model has significantly less battery life than the T100, up to about 3-4 hours less, which is the trade off for the larger screen and possibly better performance, including the higher capacity RAM because that lets the system work harder... and that means, if it does provide more performance, that the 4GB model will likely have noticeably less battery life than the 2GB model...
