Good to see, that someone excepting me has this problem. Next issue, that I've found is that camera light's flashing all the time. This or something other make t200ta running out of battery 3 times faster than on windows.

    Hi,

Flash for me work just during the boot for 3 seconde and stop. But my battery is empty after 2 hours too.
I have debian jessie with the last kernel 4.1bpo.

I followed all tutorials on the web and hardware isn't detected.
=> no sound, no wifi, no webcam, no bluetooth.

    Hi everyone,
I managed to wipe out windows 8 from ASUS T200 and install ubuntu 15.04 to do that I have installed on a usb an efi installation of Ubuntu15.04 amd64 downloaded on ubuntu.org I have disabled secure boot on the bios and on windows to manage to do it.
After installing Ubuntu there was several problems:
    -no wifi
    -no sound
    -no camera
    -camera light always ligth up

    I have still:
    -no wifi
    -no camera
    -camera light always ligth up

For the wifi I use a dongle Belkin N300 wich works with driver RTL 8192 CU, it was working only up to 5 min at each session and then the wi-fi wasn't working. I have managed to fix the problem thanks to the post on the forum ubuntuforum.org:
Wireless Internet on Ubuntu 15.04 using Asus X205TA
    This solution don't use ndiswrapper.
For the sound I used the solution on this forum however the sound is working it is not so much possible to regulate it, when I try to do it I have the impression that there is only 3 types for the sound :
    - no sound
    - sound a little bit low
    - sound too loud
Aren't other peoples in the same situation ?

As there was a question on thread Android on the T200TA for kernel 4.4 with T200TA, I would like to ask if there are some people here who are using ubuntu on the T200TA and who may write their current state.

I personally have kernel 4.4 running with some patches and can also post my configuration if there is interest.

Actually I'm running Ubuntu 15.04 on my asus T200TA-cp016H (4Gb RAM + 32 GB eMMC), I installed 4.0.6 Kernel (uname -r show 4.0.6-040006-generic) and followed https://wiki.debian.org/InstallingDebianOn/Asus/X205TA for getting wifi working without bug when suspend the pc (don't forget to Disable SDHCI-ACPI for Wireless, otherwise WLAN doesn't work, even if you're not running 4.4 kernel), for the sound I use the method of this thread and work just fine.
I still don't have bluetooth but don't use it at all so that's not a problem for me, all key are working exept FN+(F1, F2, F5...), my battery keep a normal discharging time (same than windows when I'm at 75%-100% screen light power) and screen light power can't be changed on ubuntu (I think THIS is the big problem for battery life but don't disturbing me cause 4h battery in openoffice or in firefox(not youtube or soundcloud) is suffisent for me)
I don't know if camera is working but I don't use it at all so it's not an interesting point for me.
Don't have sd card issue (was working out of box, like touchscreen) touchpad don't reconize more than one finger but mouse don't move when you want to do a click like some people are experimenting

I forget that my camera light's always on (but it will break one day so it will not be a problem anymore lol)

edit : screen bright is working like a charm, it's just that i have to go in the power management (clicking on battery icon). Great for battery lifetime ^^ not really intuitive but it work.

I'm having trouble getting Linux to even boot. I have the 2GB/32GB version of the T200TA and am failing at the very early stages: it won't even boot off the flash drive. Using the USB ports in the dock the device won't even recognize a USB device to boot from. Using the MicroUSB port on the tablet itself I can see the thumb drive in UEFI but selecting it doesn't do anything but boot Windows 10 again.

I'm starting to believe this might be because of the weird UEFI nature of the 2GB/32GB version. The 32-bit Linux ISO doesn't contain the necessary EFI folder to place the bootia32.efi file in, and the 64-bit ISO is, well, a 64-bit Linux that most likely won't run on this weird 32/64-bit hybrid.

Has anyone successfully managed to boot and install any Linux distro on the 2GB/32GB T200TA?

    Edit:
I'll have to take it back, I've finally managed to sucessfully boot Ubuntu 15.10 AMD64.
