I got mine back today but i have not had a chance to tinker with it or re test it out yet but everything seems fine so far...
    Does the headphone jack work?
    Does a hardwired lan work?
It might be that you need these drivers from Broadcom HereI believe they just made them.

    Hello

Thank you very much for your answers.. Oh ok that's great because I really need Wifi. I will try what you said when I get home. But what really bugs me, is the touchscreen not working.. Do you have a patched kernel or something ? Could you give me the link to the version of ubuntu you downloaded ? and the e-mail of (or a way to contact) your german friend, for me to ask him what he fixed on your tablet ? I'd really like to have the same on my T200 and I would likely have Unbuntu 12.04 instead of 14.04...

    Many thanks,
    SamyB

P.S: I haven't tested the jack headphones yet but the wired internet connection works fine for me

The kernel i am using only has the sdcard and battery indicator fix it is v3.18-rc6-prod i got from a git repo, i can try to post it if you need it, do you use github? My friend was trying to help get some code working to port CM over to the x86 based tablets that we are working on, he has finals and dosent have alot of time to devote to much right now he was just helping me out on that as a personal favor.

As far as the other problems...
Similar bios/boot process : it is fixed the same way as the T100
Similar SD card driver : it is fixed the same way as the T100
Similar Battery indicator driver : it is fixed the same way as the T100
Similar cpu : Intel BayTrail wich causes a lot of problems
Not a similar wifi card : Still a broadcom (43341b0), the driver was just released
Not similar touchscreen : It will work out of box on the T100 but not really on the T200
The touchscreen is "wired" in i2c, so your linux kernel needs to have the i2c_hid module (try "modprobe i2c_hid").
Even with that, sometime it load it and sometime not. I don't know why.

Have you tryed the Headphone-J or the new broadcom driver yet?

    Hello

Oh ok I understand for your German friend hope he succeeds in his finals..

Thank you very much for your answer btw..
So I tried to compile the broadcom drivers you gave me but I keep getting some errors.. So I imagine I just don't have the good settings and my kernels packages are a bit messed up.. And the jack headphones doesn't work either.. And the i2c stuff just doesn't load for me, I think I don't have the proper module.. So I'm going to re start from the begining.. I am downloading Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. I wonder if you have the 32-bits or 64-bits version ? I chose the 64-bit one..

Yes I would appreciate a link to your kernel if you don't mind I don't use github but if it's not complicated I could manage it I guess..

Thank you very much for your help

Im sorry about the delay in reply. Yes i have the 64bit flavour and the kernel i used is on my github just search my username and you will see my repos. It is the one that was forked from another repo. Make sure if you decide to use it then you use the "Chadder43/linux-asus-T200TA". AND NOT THE "Chadder43/Asus-T200TA-Linux" as this one is a work in progerss. I want to post the link but i dont dare topost another link on this site as they all keep getting deleted "*edit* per forum rules" so i am looking for a place to put my work. If you can compile the kernel from that repo then great, but if you cant then i will try to help. i want to upload the kernel but im getting about 40kbps up rigt now.

    Hello,

Oh ok great I will try to work with that ! I've downloaded your kernel sources on git-hub and I will try to compile it... Because I don't know why but with my current kernel (3.13.0) I can't compile the Broadcom drivers you gave me. I get a "neither CFG80211 API or Wireless-Extension is enabled with this kernel". So I hope it will work with yours !
But apart from that the touchscreen works absolutely great ! We'll see..

Thank you very much for your help btw
    Have a nice day,
    SamyB

ok im sorry about the last info and I hope it didn't cause too many problems https://github.com/Chadder43/linux-a...v3.18-rc6-prod is the kernel I use. it is in that repo but it is a separate branch the production branch "v3.18-rc6-prod"

So the touchscreen work good now but the Wi-Fi is still out?
Do you get the drop and drag lag? (doesn't seem to want to drop)
Does sound work for you yet?
This is a decent system, but as you can see there really is no out of the box solution as of yet.
Hopefully there will be a solution soon...

    and for

    Hello

I've been away during a few days sorry to not have given you feed back.
I've downloaded the kernel you posted on github but I really don't know how to compile it. First, what .config file must I use ? I tried to compile it with the old one.. the step "make oldconfig" worked, but when I run "make bzImage" I have an error saying that ext4.h is not found.. Do you know where it comes from ?
Apart from that, I don't have the drop and drag bug, but I'm not sure touchscreen is working the way it should. I mean the multitouch doesn't work, but I don't know if it is because it's misconfigured or if it is because the applications I use don't handle multitouch.
I'm trying to fix the sound right know using a tutorial for the T100, but it didnt work out of the box.

Yes, even if it doesn't work great for now, I'm far more happy to run Linux than windows 8 on my t200

Thank you very much for your help,
    SamyB

I have kubuntu 14.10 installed on a USB flash drive, but I can't get wifi working. Wired ethernet works great though. Sound isn't working, either, but I haven't tried to work on that yet. I'm a novice at Linux. If anybody can spoon feed me the steps to get it working I'd appreciate it.

[Edit] I found a readme.txt file that might help me. If I can get it working I'll post the procedure here.
