New Transformer Book T101HA, battery almost dead

    Hi everyone,
I just got an Asus Transformer Book T101HA, it was a present so I don't have a receipt or anything. It came completely discharged, so I charged it for a few hours. When I disconnected it from the PS it turned off after 5 seconds and I had to charge it again. Windows said the battery was empty indeed. I let it charging overnight, and the day after I managed to use it for 15 minutes and then died again. Today I managed to use it for 45 minutes of video and then died.
Various battery reports say that it has nearly 50% health, and it uses only 14 mWh of the 31 mWh it was supposed to. Did I received a used one? It was factory sealed!
    What should I do?
    Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum Daeran. Try plugging it into a PC for several hours before using the regular power supply. Make sure the PC doesn't sleep during this period. If it still doesn't charge, it does seem as if you have a defective battery. I don't know if it's possible, but if it doesn't work properly, can you ask the person who gave it to you where he/she got it, and if it's possible to return it for one that works?

Even if it was a gift, it is still faulty with a battery that at best is going to have been damaged by a long period of discharge.
Talk to the giver of the gift and tell them it needs to be replaced by the retailer.
