T100TAF clock not keeping time (slow -during power on/off)

Hi, I have an issue, the T100TAF will not keep time. It is slow, I am on the latest BIOS, and the only thing I did was update the Intel HD Graphics Driver and Broadcom Wi-Fi drivers. Its technically a tablet so i dont think there is a CMOS battery, is there even a possibility the time chip is not working. The time is restored when I flick the set time automatically (system downloads time from internet)

you are right in that these tablets/laptops dont have a dedicate CMOS battery, i think they must have some sort of capacitor tho as when i pull the main battery mine dont lose time or Settings (T100TA and a T100TAM), would love to know where the RTC is as a quick look at the board i cant find a dedicated RTC (might of missed it) , as for your problem i dont know, i did have the same prob as you on an older tablet where the system time would slow down found if i run the battery till it would not turn on then fully charged it before i switch it on again seem to sort the problem out for a few weeks before it came back, never really found a proper fix for it as it never really bothered me.

Mine does this, too. Never figured out the cause. Sometimes it seems to fix itself.
Windows is supposed to sync the software clock to the hardware clock (RTC).
It can't do this if tablet is in sleep.
Probably one of the Windows 10 updates "broke" it.

Windows Time service is set as Manual. Try changing to Automatic.

Hi johnhoang87, allow us to apologize for the inconvenience caused. This issue seems to be hardware related and we would recommend repairs.
