    Broken power input

    Hi
The port for external charging of my T100 Chi has been damaged and I can't charge it. I took it back to where it was bought and was advised that because it is manufactured all in one piece, the whole mother board would have to be replaced which would cost more than the original purchase price. I have taken it to a couple of local computer repair shops who were reluctant to help. Does anyone have any advice? I had only had it a couple of months and was working fine - I just can't charge it. Thanks.

Thank you for your reply but I'm in the UK and I've already been through my retailer who quoted repair costs greater than the purchase price.

If the motherboard needs changing then you probably are out of luck. You might try Googling Asusparts to see if they have a board that you could DIY swap.

Alternatively you could just try RMAing it directly to Asus UK and see if they just fix it for you under warranty.
