    Weird problem with T100TA dock

I've got a T100TA with the HDD in the dock. Was bought in june 2014. Last year it went back to Asus to fix the DHMI-port, but it has behaved decently until very recently.

My problem is that the T100 will not recognize the keyboard in the dock unless it's less than 90 degrees open (i.e. tilting forward a bit).
When you move the table, even a milimeter, the keybaord disappears in Device Manager.
Now the weird bit: the HDD in the dock is still accessible when the keyboard has gone away?!

Unit is running Bios 313. Tried by reinstalling Chipset drivers, USB driver, ATKpackage and Smart Gestures, but nothing helped.

Right now I'm at a loss.
First thought it was SW-related. Then thought it might be HW, but since the HDD is still there, ......
Anybody out there with any ideas I can try?

Welcome to posting on the forum

From what you say, it sounds like the connection between the two pieces of hardware is not properly aligned and therefore causes a partial disconnection when not in the optimal position for the physical connectors.

PLEASE Search for existing threads before posting a new one. Thanks.

Sounds like a possible cause, but how would I check this?
Or could you point me in the direction of a repair manual?

To me it seems the problem lies with the tablet, because it behaves the same with 2 separate docks....
