Moving or disabling pagefile does not work

Hi I tried a lot of times disabling or moving the pagefile to the microSD, but after I restart it says always: Windows created a temporary paging file on your computer because of a problem that occured with your paging file configuration when you started your computer.
I can easily fix this error by putting back in the default sytem managed size for all volumes, but every time I try to change the pagefile location or I try to disable it I get again the same error message.
So, is there any way to move the pagefile to the microSD without Windows recreating it ?

    P.S.

I tried this with Windows 8.1 and then with Windows 10 (My actual system), but same result.

Doesn't sound like it. Can you understand why MS wouldn't allow this on user removable media. I can.

If it matters, I tried various guides that I found online, but everything failed, I also searched in this forum, but for no avail.
Other ppl disabled or moved the pagefile, why it does not work on this device ?

First, disabling it is potentially a disaster. Secondly assuming you could put it on removable media you would be asking for yet another disaster. You can't do that on any Windows system. The pagefile can only be moved, (not always), to a secondary internal (primary parition) storage device, period.

Thx for the answer, but why it should result in a disaster?
Anyway I managed to disable filepaging, but not to move it yet, It lets me to choose the microsd or usb, but if I try after the reboot I get the error messagge.
So all those guides on how to move the pagefile are fake ?

Not having a pagefile will make you wonder why your device is running like crap. Even having a pagefile that's undersized will cause Windows to throw up errors, (as you have found out). Don't believe everything you read. Windows needs that file and by design it must be located on internal storage. As you work, that file is read and written constantly as Windows manages memory.

Let's assume you could put it on a microSD card. Due to the constant use the card would very quickly fail as they aren't designed the same as internal storage nor were they intendeds to be used that way.

Honestly - a pagefile to Windows is ESSENTIAL.

Get it - it is a system requirement.

To allow putting it on user removable media would be the height of idiocy. MS may be a lot of things, but they are not that stupid.
The only reason to disable/move a pagefile is to gain more storage space. Why not alter your paradigm & store your data on your removable media. You can even install your apps there.

I'm only someone with 30 years of experience, though. What do I know!!

Again, hate to beat the old horse. Agree that the paging file is essential. You will run into virtual memory issues without it. However, you used to be allowed to change it to another drive, to save disk space or take advantage of flash memory speed:
How to Use USB Memory for RAM on XP | eHow
The caveats were that the removable drive would have to be inserted all the time and flash memory read/write times are limited. I have a couple of ancient systems that I could not increase RAM or that had small HDDs that I used the ReadyBoost technology and changed the location of the paging file. Recently, I have tried to do what the OP did as well with the paging file on the T100TA due to disk space limitations but I also noticed that the settings do not stick. I have since had plenty of disk space so I haven't pursued it any further.

    Good answer fiat_lux.

I'm incredulous that MS ever allowed it to be moved to removable media
I can only imagine the number of support calls they got, because Joe Average decided to remove his USB stick while the pagefile was being accessed...

Well, you have to remember that these were times that 512K RAM and 40 gb HDDs were common and RAM was like several hundred $ a stick. So MS did do some innovative things in memory management. I don't see a problem with locating essential files wherever you want as long as the OS knows where to find them.
